Guest RockyTSquirrel Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Greetings, Any one else notice a lag in the weekly updates of AdAware since Christmas? My last update was 12/27/2007.. Tks, RTS
Guest Heather Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Re: Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06R1 updates Hi Rocky.....apparently that was the last one and we are expected to go the the bloated new version 2007. I am not about to and will just use Spybot because it also checks my Firefox cache, etc. AdAware did not. Just checked the sizes.....the old AA1.06 is 2.8 meg. The new and improved version 2007 is twenty times that at 20.71. Guess I know which one I will use. Do you really think that a company like Lavasoft, which has dedicated its efforts in helping people getting rid of unwanted pests, would actually put its reputation on the line by pulling a stupid stunt like that? It would practically ruin them if they did this and word of it got out. What you say makes no sense at all, Harry. As for them dropping free stuff, they dropped SE, which is now quite a few years old, they have a new free version, just go to their web site and do some searching and reading and you will find it.
