Since no uninstall comes with the utility, I assume that Add/Remove Programs leaves files behind. I was going to try it out until I read that caveat.

Since no uninstall comes with the utility, I > assume that Add/Remove Programs leaves files behind. I was going to try > it out until I read that caveat. They tell you specifically, that with the Add/Remove Program in Control Panel the program will be 'completely removed'. Therefore it shouldn't leave any files behind, but to be sure, you could check yourself and delete them, if it were the case.
Guest Heather Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Re: Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06R1 updates Why would you use "uninstall" instead of the better method of Add/Remove?? Followed by removal, if needed, of anything left on your HD and/or registry?? I never remove programs the way you suggest. Other than a rather complicated uninstall and total removal of Zone Alarm by Horton. Just wondered. Oh....and remembered Nick's name. Nick Skrepreto. I think I used his program way back when, but haven't done so for about a year or more.
