Resize columns in VS2008 error list

There has got to be a way to change how VS2008 resizes the columns in the error list.

In any normal grid, you grab the splitter on the right side of a column and it moves all the columns*on the right to the right leaving them the same size.* in VS it shrinks the next column on the right leaving everything else in place!* So if I want to enlarge the Description field, I have to individually resize File, Line, Column and project to make space, that’s insane!
