TS CAL appear as per user, should be per device - change?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

In terminal server licensing I have a list of my licenses and all are

listed as "Windows 2003 Server - Terminal Server Per Device CAL Token"

except one pack of 10 that shows as "Windows 2003 Server - Terminal

Server Per User CAL Token"

How can I change/uninstall/reinstall the license as per device? They

are not being issued.

Thanks

You can phone the Clearinghouse, who can re-issue a new license

pack for installation on your LS.

You cannot uninstall the Per User licenses, but assuming that all

of your Terminal Servers are using the Per Device licensing mode,

you won't be using them either.

If you really want to get rid of them, you'll have to clean out the

LS database before phoning the Clearinghouse. Be sure that you have

*all* paperwork about your licenses ready when you phone them!
