IE8 cannot and will not pass the actual online Acid2 test.* They used an offline doctored version to "render" the smiley face but, in their news release, you notice they never say they "pass" the test.* IE8 does no better on the actual test than IE7 does.

 

More Microsoft smoke and mirrors.* Firefox passes the real test.* Opera passes the real test.* They have nothing to hide.
