power save mode

connected my pc to a dell tft am running xp home , now when I switch pc on it seeems to boot up but tft says in power save mode have tried diffrent monitor and no joy can anyone help?

when I press the buttons on the tft all that comes up is in power save mode and press any key or move mouse but nothing happens

the pc I built myself and has worked fine but the tft was give to me and modle no is 1504fp

That monitor seems not exist on Dell but the 1505FP does.

 

However are you coming off onboard graphics or a card?
