Used G parted/ Clonezilla CD

 

1.boot into the g parted.

2.click on terminal

3.type fdisk /dev/sda# where # is your drive (you can find out by

looking at the g parted list of drives) standard is sda# for scsi and

hda for ide's

4. you should now bee in a screen for fdisk

5. type t (change the system id...IE filesystem type when you tried to

convert it marks it as SFS number 42)

6. type 7 for NTFS/HPFS

7. type w

 

at this point it will do a sync and then you can type reboot in the

window and remove the CD when the machine starts to reboot. this worked

on a HP proliant with smart array controller.
