Soul_Survivor Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hi All Feela bit silly asking this but I'm tried everything I can think of and can't see a solution after searching the web. Basically I can't get Firefox to open on my Vista  It used to work just fine, but then just stopped, I don't think this co-incided with any changes I have made on the PC. I have tried DL tyhe latest version of Firefox, uninstalling this and re-installing it. Also checked the problems area in the control panel but it's not showing up as a problem. Also played around with the Windows Firewall setting but with no luck. When I launch FF, I get the windows loading icon, but nothing happens, however the machine thinks FF is running. After checking the Task manager, it's not showing up under the applications but it is showing up under the processes. Anyone got any ideas how I can get this working, I hate IE! and also need to see sites in other browsers like FF. Cheers Dan Quote
KenB Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hi, This is a known issue with Firefox ( according to their site ) and they suggest that it is most likely to be your firewall settings. See here for further information: Firewalls - MozillaZine Knowledge Base Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
