Epson Stylus Photo R300 no power

Good afternoon

 

My Epson Stylus Photo R300 will not power up.

 

I have checked power supply at power socket on wall OK

checked power cable fuse and voltage ok

No indication lights showing on printer

I have checked usb is connected both ends correctly removed and replaced

checked power plug inserted all the way into the printer

 

Any thoughts

Hi Bob mate, it looks like the internal power supply has gone, for the price of a repair against the price of a new printer it isn't worth bothering, so recommend you buy a new one mate. Stick to Epson or perhaps a Canon or HP.

I have now written off my epson printer.

I am on the lookout for epson stylus photo

RX 620/R300/R300M/R320/RX500/R200/RX600

 

Sticking with these modles as I have a lot of inkcarts which I think would be silly to ditch. I also like the epson

Hi Bob, have a look at what EBuyer are offering at the moment, there is a PX700w Wireless model for around £130. or top of the wallet emptying league an R1900 at a whopping £414

With one or two in the middle of those prices.

What happened to the one your mate was offering?

Thanks Nev will have a look later. My mates offer still stood but I took my broken printer apart in preparation to replace the power supply and bits flew everywhere then it was more broken.So I have binned it. Never mind

First Nev Thanks again The epsons you mention SEEMS to be all in one I have a great scanner anyway so dont want another.

 

As you know now looking for new printer

I have found one I think might do what I want

Canon PIXMA iP3600 Colour Inkjet Printer ebuyer £58

 

The only drawback and it is not important it is not wireless so if I want to print from laptop will have to plug it in when needed

 

It seems a very good price

My cameras are Canon

My Scanner is Canon

 

I am certain I can sell on my stock of epson carts to a neighbour

 

If anyone has used this printer lets know
