dannywarnes Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 hi, due to my computer occasionally cutting out i downloaded speedfan and the readings it's giving aren't good, i replaced the fan on my graphics card because it broke but that hasn't made any difference. this is what speedfan says: gpu: 74c system: 54c cpu: 10c aux: -1c hd0: 39c core 0: 31c core 1: 31c core: 75c ambient: 0c is there a program i can use to copy my complete system info from to post here? if not i'll just write what spec i know. Jelly Bean Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Danny that is an older card I would suspect it would run a little warmer. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
dannywarnes Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 it still shouldn't run over 50 though surely and it's at about 90 most of the time. Quote
Jelly Bean Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Hey Danny,it can run that high. There are a few reasons why it would. Depending on what higher graphical processes you are running. The card is old and may of sustained damage in the past. It is now overheating which is causing possibly more damage. No it should not run that high but it is running higher temps. Have you at least updated GPU driver? Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
dannywarnes Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 yeah i updated the drivers. do you think it's just a matter of getting a new gpu and maybe a new cpu fan. would the fact that i've only got 1gb ram effect the temperature? Quote
Jelly Bean Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Your CPU appears fine. It could be a simple case of new GPU but again if you have further heating issues with a new card you could buy a new GPU fan. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
