Guest Norrie Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Hi, I've just got a new laptop running Vista. On my old PC I connected to the net with a DSL modem. I am not very computer literate, so when I switched on my laptop, and done all the setup, this message came up that I was connected to the Internet, as I had no modem attached I thought this weird, so I done a bit of digging and came up with a list of networks, and found I was connected to a Linksys public connection, could anyone please explain this connection to me, and will it harm my laptop. I have no wireless router. Thank you in advance for your help.
