You mean the page doesn't appear, or it just won't appear in a new

window?

(a) Update your definitions, & do a virus scan.

(b) "Control Panel, Internet Options, Advanced tab, Browsing section"

Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

(b) "START button, Run, MSInfo32, Tools tab, IE Repair Tool"

Some do report it crashes on their machine, apparently in

an orderly manner. It does produce a rather long "Fix IE Log.txt" in

C:\Windows. If it crashes, a reinstall of IE is indicated.

Description of the Internet Explorer Repair Tool

© Badour has something for associations on his site...

It may be helpful to take these two Badour repair ".reg" files.

Unzip them & click the ".reg" inside. This will merge the fix into your

Registry...

http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/assets/images/ExeAssoc.zip

Repair .Exe Association. Sets the default association for .exe files.

http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/assets/images/LnkW98.zip

Link Association (Shortcut) Repair. W95 with IE4 and W98.

By default, when a ".reg" is clicked, it will Merge into the Registry.

To alter the default behavior...

(a) "START button, Settings, Folder Options, File Types tab".

(b) Scroll to & click (highlight) "Registration Entries".

© Click the "Edit" button.

(d) Select (highlight) "Edit" in the window.

(e) Click the "Set Default" button.

Now, when you click a ".reg" file, it will open in Notepad for

examination. To merge it into the Registry, R-Clk it & select "Merge".
