Remote VPN User RDP Session Disconnect when he leave it for 5 mins

I hava a user at one of our remote sites that uses RDP to one of our terminal

servers. He can work fine on the machine until he leaves the machine for

5-10min. If he then tries to use the RDP session, he finds that it has been

disconnected and has to log on again. This only happens when he leaves the PC.

I have check the idle timeout on the terminal server (TS + Server 2003+SP2)

and this is set for 2 hours, so it should not be timing out.

I have pinged a server at the remote site and it is always responding so I

know the VPN connection is working. I have checked his PC (XP) settings and

it does not go into standby or hibernation.

Any ideas?

Idle timeout can also be set in the Group Policy.

But setting this in GP would disable the option in TSCC.

Can you confirm if it is not set in GP ?
