Mount point to remote share

We are experiencing high drive activity on a server that is currently

configured with only RAID 1. The application causing the activity does not

allow redirect to a remote share, so I am stuck. I wish to avoid migrating

the application altogether.

 

I have tried using a simple mapped drive, which did not work. I have also

tried using the linkd.exe utility, which I believe works for local folders

but not remote shares.

 

Is there a way of creating a folder on this server that is mapped to a

remote share with an attached drive array?
