Plastic Nev Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help. Have you looked in your sound system controls, a double click on the loudspeaker Icon on the bottom task bar should open the control panel, is the mic volume slider up or down or is there a tick in the mute box? Plastic Nev Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hi again, Ideally, we could do with proving it works or not, have you access to another computer to try it on? This would at least prove whether the microphone is indeed OK or not, or something wrong in your computer. Does another but normal microphone work if plugged into the ordinary mic socket? Nev. Plastic Nev Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 OK thanks for letting us know and at least we know now it is a faulty microphone or complete set up fault. Best of luck with the refund and hopefully a good replacement. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here.
