Help with calibrating gamepad

Hi,

 

I have Xbox for windows gamepad. I play Fifa 09 with it, but I have trouble a bit with dpad. Say player is facing right side and I want to do a long pass forward, the player passes in a direction I did not intend. So there's trouble in using dpad.

 

Also tried to calibrate gamepad and when it asks here:

that small cross does not seem to obey what I press on dpad at all. If I press down nothing happens it stays there for example.

 

Next when it asks me to move the Z axis nothing happens, whatever button or stick I press/move it does not work.

 

Any idea please?

Does the controller have and "analog" button? Try changing the analog to "on" or "off".

No, analog sticks yes, two but only start and back buttons and the middle Xbox button.
