Guest UselessUser Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Hi sorry for posting lots of questions... This one is going to sound left field... We have a print server set up with 150 printers attached to it... Currently if any one single printer jams up (ie wont delete a job etc) I have to stop and restart the entire print server for everyone... Needless to say when this occurs it is causing me a lot of grief... Is there anyway that you can instantiate a print spooler service per printer (So that if you have to restart it, it affects on that printer)??
Guest Jerry Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Re: Print server issue Hi, Here is what I do in such case. For example, printer A IP is a.b.c.1, printer B is a.b.c.2, normally I will temporary change the PORT of printerA to a.b.c.2 and restart the print job.
