What is 'Bonjour Service' ?

Everytime I switch on my PC I'm told that Bonjour Service is trying to access the internet. Does anybody have any idea what this is? I always block it because i don't know what it is.

Its a safe program.

 

Its part of iTunes, and is used for discovery of network devices.

Its all so part of Photoshop if you want to remove it type

 

"C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe" -remove

 

at the cmd prompt. If you Google it there is a lot of problems having it running
