Hi

Firstly lets sort out the internet first then we'll move on to the sound problem.

How did you normally connect to the internet, dail-up, broadband, wireless?

Also what Router/modem do you have?

Use a computer that can connect to the internet.

Go to your computer manufacturers web site and under there support tab choose your make and model of computer/laptop and it will give you driver downloads.

Download and save the drivers on the computer then transfer to the none connecting computer/laptop using a USB flash drive,Floppy disk or a CD/DVD disk and install them.

If there is a yellow ! by the Network card you use then it means you need a driver for the network card. Is the network card onboard or a seperate card? What is the make and model of your motherboard or network card?

Hi

Go here and download this tool (this is on a trail version, which is free):

ASTRA32 - Advanced System Information Tool - Free Download

Install it and then run it (it may take a few seconds to scan the hardware)

Let me know the following:

1. Under motherboard the Board Model

2. Under PCI/AGP Devices anything that says NIC or Ethernet

3. Under System summary all things under Network and Sound

After we are finished you can uninstall the program if you wish.

Go here:

Drivers & Downloads

Here you will find the drivers for your network card and the sound card. download and install them.

After you re-installed Windows did you install the chipset driver? If not do that first.
