Guest Travis Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I have a Fax Server running on Widnows Small Business Server 2003. It's got 2 modems attached and only sends outbound faxes. It process on average about 100-150 faxes per day (to date, the most it has sent in 1 8 hour shift is 208, but that is not typical). The second modem was added in the past couple months. Lately it has started to send the wrong fax. I can see that 2 fax jobs were submitted, say FAX_A and then FAX_B a few seconds later. Both FAX_A and FAX_B will be sent the same fax. For what it's worth, it's being fed faxes by a VB 6 application via the FAXCOMLIB libraries. The application creates PDFs, attaches them to the fax object and submits it. It is specifically NOT multithreaded. Only one fax at a time is submitted to the server. They are typically spaced at least 15-30 seconds apart (as that's the time the server needs to create the PDFs). I located this hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933804/en-us But I am worried that it's not an application submitting them at the same time. They are in fact sending at almost the same time though (becuase of the dual modems) Anyone have any experience with this?
