pinklloyd Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Hi. Pretty new to this so hangfire if I'm not making much sense? Having a few wireless problems in my new house, already replaced the old hub, but still having problems. The new hub is one of those BT black version 2 things. I have connect via the ethernet to get in registered so I know the hub isn't the proplem. I cannot get my hub any closer to where my computer, so someone suggested a pair of powerline plug things. Problem is I haven't got a clue which ones to get. I want to stream music, vidoes etc, so I've been told to get a 200 mbps. The big question is which one. Can someone tell me please? Many thanks Lloydy Quote
Jelly Bean Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Hello and welcome to the forum. My sugestion is you can purchase a long eithernet cable to connect the hub to the computer. I think your instructions were clear.Your hub is to far away from your computer and the eithernet cable supplied by BT is is to short? JB. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
Tootech Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I can personally recommend these at the cheaper end of the market Extra Value 85Mbps Powerline Adapter - Twin Pack - Ebuyer And also these at the expensive end ZyXEL PLA 401 v2 200Mbps Powerline Adapter - Twin Pack - Ebuyer Both work very well out of the box.
