and when it does im gonna format my old PC and sell it on, what i'd like to know is

where firefox stores me passwords as im hoping i can copy the file(?) onto a memory card and transfer it to the new one once i've installed firefox onto it, as i use a different password on every site i use and don't want to have to type 'em all back in again coz i'm lazy! lol! anyone know?

Also where, online or highstreet, would you recommend buying another 1 gig of ram for my new comp, i assume it would be a good idea to buy the same brand/ type stuff thats already in it, yes?

cheers in advance!

hi backudog.

i would recommend getting exactly the same stick of ram as what you are gonna have installed...that way you will know it is compatible.and dont have to worry about underclocking etc....

as for firefox the password store is in C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ax91uncc.default

ax91uncc.default may be different per system.

in there you will see key3.db that is your password encrypter/decrypter..you will also need signons.txt as well

then on your new system install firefox then copy those files to there relavent directory.

here is a web page that may help you understand a little more.

i hope that helps

thanx my friend!

hoped it would be as simple as that, thats the only downside to getting a new pc , reinstalling everything onto the new one! .(that and realising just how little your old pc is worth now when you try to sell it! lol)
