multiple copies of my documents in users folder

We are using a Windows 2003 file storage server for the users folders and

have DFS running on the network. We have noticed the size of the backup

increasing and found that multiple users folders have the my documents folder

in their users folder. Then inside that folder there is another my documents

folder with a complete copy of everything and inside that another my

documents folder and this goes as much as 15 layers deep. Does anyone know

the cause and solution for this issue.
