Mail Icon in Control Panel

Hello,

We have a Windows 2003 server which someone else has done a "clean insall"

of the operating system. Now we are configuring some 3rd party software that

requires we have access to the mail icon in the control panel, yet we do not

have the typical mail icon in the control panel. My question is, which

component during a windows install is the one that places that icon in the

control panel, so I can add it from Add /Remove Windows Components.

Any tips welcome.. Thanks

This isn't part of Windows per se. You'd only see the mail icon if you

created a MAPI profile via a software utility, or had Outlook installed

(which lets you creates a MAPI profile). Your third party software should

have more info for you,as this is a requirement...if it doesn't, ask the

developers/support people. I'd be wary of installing Outlook (or other

desktop apps) on a server, for what it's worth.
