Hi All!

I have a toshiba Equim M50-216 Laptop. Recently i got a system 23 error. I could find my back up disc so i got windows xp and reloaded it.

My computer now works but i cannot access the internet. I have a wireless router and built in wifi which worked before i reloaded xp.

The router is ok as i'm on it now on my daughters pc.

Do i need software to run my built in wifi? & if so where can i get it(free hopefully)

If i don't need software i hope you's can guide me through how i can activate it.

Look forward to any ideas

Thanks

PJ:(

don't know if i have submitted this to right place

Hello peejay and welcome to the forum.

Your laptop is a disscontinued product however Toshiba are pritty good in keeping hard ware driver downloads.

Laptop Driver Downloads:

If you have trouble choosing the corrrect drivers to download just download and run this:

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit

Belarc will give you a list of hardware such as what graphics card you have in your machine.

If you need further help please feel free to ask away.

Hey babe.

See the Toshiba link I posted earlier?

Click it and use the drop down boxes to choose your laptop, make and model number.

It will give you a list of driver downloads.

Choose:

Archives files.

Equium.Notebook

Equium M serise

Equium M 50 there is a choice of two choose yours.

Then use the other boxes to choose operating system.

The driver type such as wireless.

and search it should give you your driver download.

Hey Jelly Bean,

Had done that and installed it. It's now in my program files, but still can't seem to access the internet.

I have gone through the wireless set up on windows(didn't seem to work), Then decided to try and install my ISP disk which wouldn't work, even when i tried to do it with the network cable plugged into the hub.

Have you tried turning of the modem/router and the laptop/PC then reboot modem then reboot laptop/pc and see if it kicks in the connection?
