Guest J Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Hi all, I'm having trouble with my SMTP servers. Here's what I have: MyDomain.com Site 1 Server1.MyDomain.com - Win2k3 Standard with POP3 and SMTP services installed Site 2 Server2.MyDomain.com - Win2k3 Standard with POP3 and SMTP services installed Site 1 & 2 are connected via VPN. Clients use Outlook Express Clients in Site 1 cannot send email to Clients in Site 2 and vice versa. All can send within their site and to external domains. In MS Exchange, I know you can specify a host to send unresolved recipients but it's not available in the SMTP built into Windows Server 2003. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance, J
Guest Don Wilwol Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Re: SMTP servers How are your MX records set up. Does your internal DNS have an MX record for the other domain? Depending on the configuration, it may not ever go outside because it sees the domain name, but not the MX record. -- Hope it Helps. dw ------------------------------------------------------- Don Wilwol http://www.atthedatacenter.com "J" <jk_50@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:u2QDSGsXIHA.2000@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi all, > I'm having trouble with my SMTP servers.
