Unable to access company website witihin company network with www

All of the computers are unable to access the company website from within the

company network if they type in the http://www.website.com, however they can

access it by going to http://website.com. The webpage is not hosted

internally. We have seperate webhosting, however we do have DNS running on

the server. I tried creating a forward lookup zone but it didn't work. I

could have set it up incorrectly. What typically causes this error.

This is only an issue because we just hired a person to work on the webpage,

but since it is ftp.website.com it is not working at all saying the server

cannot be found. It can be accessed from outside of the company network just

fine both with the www prefix and without.

Have you created a DNS record point to the http://www.website.com? Or this search

result may help.

I actually deleted the DNS record pointing to my website, and it works now.

Thank you for all the help.
