Guest mrants Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I have noticed on a few full y patched servers that when I choose to restart the computer, the RDP session closes and the server "reboots". I try to connect a few minutes later and cannot. After more investigation the server never actually reboots, rebooting the server fixes the problem. Has anyone seen this and know of a resolution? Thanks

If it's 2003, ensure that no other users are logged on at the same time... Or use the shutdown with -f switch and see if it works as a temporary solution? -- Jabez Gan Microsoft MVP: Windows Server - File Storage "mrants" <mrants@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BAFF8CCB-E915-42AD-8A4E-C755D693082D@microsoft.com... >I have noticed on a few full y patched servers that when I choose to >restart > the computer, the RDP session closes and the server "reboots". Guest mrants Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Re: RDP restart not working Well, that is a workaround, I would really like to know if there is a fix. The problem with the workaround is that if the user forgets, then they can't get back in.
