unable to open shim database

[Guest HDI]

Hi,

 

"... unable ot open shim database version registry key -

v2.0.50727.00000".

 

I always had this error in my event viewer but because it doesn't had

any negative effects on my machine I didn't installed the hotfix and

waited for the next visual studio 2005 service pack that contains this

hotfix, like they recommend in kb 918642.

 

Now I don't get this error anymore.

 

Is this hotfix now relased, how can I check this?

You can check which updates you have installed in Control Panel -

Add/remove programs.

Or go to Windows Update and check your update history.
