Off-line folders - possible to omit certain folders

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I'm using the off-line folders default setup when XP Pro machines hook up to

a Win2k3 server AD domain and I'm finding that the off-line folders feature

just won't work with certain laptops because the user has sooooo much crap

on them that the sync never completes.

I was thinking that if I could designate one folder in their My Docs so that

this folder doesn't get sync'd then I could get them to put all their

personal stuff (they're teachers by the way!!) into this folder and just

keep the rest (ie work stuff) to be sync'd.

Is this possible?

Thanks

you can always map a drive and sync this instead of or along with the

my documents folder

leave the my documents folder for personal stuff, if it is not synced

then it is not so critical

put this in a company policy so everybody knows where they stand in

this
