Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a remote access/VPN server running Windows Server 2003 Ent. Ed. Is

there a way to view who logged in, how long, etc.?

Thanks,

RE: RAS Server logging

Hi James,

Go to remote acces logging and on properties tab of the local file log,

check authentication request. You will see in windows\system32\logfiles the

results.

Have a nice day!

Ok, I was able to figure out that i needed to go to Network Connections,

Advanced, Remote Access Preferences. On the Diagnostics tab I enabled

logging. I then generated a report (summary). I have a department manager

that wants to know if some of his group are actually logging on to the VPN

and for how long. Is there a way for me to see this information?

RE: RAS Server logging

Just was on the RRAS server under Routing and Remote Access Logging, Local

File, Properties, there are options for Accounting Requests and

Authentication Requests. I enabled those two. Hope that is what I need!
