Guest Will Sellers Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 We decommissioned Server A. Server B is now the primary DC. When I tried to access a member server via remote desktop I get access denied. Prior to decommissioning of Server A this was not a problem. Any ideas on what I may have missed during the change?
Guest Newell White Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 RE: Remote desktop problem Does AD on Server B still show you as a member of Built-in group "Remote Users"? -- Regards, Newell White "Will Sellers" wrote: > We decommissioned Server A. Make sure they are all on the new DC. Did you make the new DC a Global Catalog? If not do so right away. What about DNS? Did you set the DNS parameters the same as on the old DC (other than pointing to itself)? What about the clients? Do they point to the new DC for DNS resolution? -- Regards, Hank Arnold Microsoft MVP Windows Server - Directory Services
