need your help with new pc

I just bought a pc e-machine w/ windows xp there is a user password in it i need to know how to get it out so that i may use the pc ( the person i got it from does not remember the pass word can you help????

can you boot into safe mode (tap f8 at startup ) then login as administrator hopefully no password..

then just go to user accounts in control panel and then remove the password,reboot and then log in......

if not you will need to get hold of some software than boots into a linux disto,,which will then remove the password from the sam...

i believe its called active passwrod changer,,,USE THIS SOFTWARE RESPONSIBLY.
