I moved into an apartment that offers wireless internet. They have a nook on the top of the loft that has a modem hoked into a jack in the wall and connected to the router.

My computer doesnt pick up the network. I tried restarting the router but it doesn't work. Is there something I was supposed to do or should it already work. Like hook it up to my computer or something?

Its a NETGear DI-604.

Please help

Hi, and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

Have you had a word with your landlord about it, there may need to be a password used.

If you can also get any information from your landlord as to what type of system it is, that would help us if it is just a connection issue.
