Windows 2003 Server very slow printing documents

Hi everyone,

 

Windows File Open/Close operations are quick but when it comes to

printing, documents take over 90 seconds to print.

 

Using the latest HP drivers on the Server. Sophos Antivirus is

installed on the Server. Stopping Sophos does seem to help but not by

much.

 

Any ideas most appreciated!

How many printers are installed on the machine? Is enough space on the drive

available, where the print spooler is stored ( by default system drive)?
