How tosucessfully activate internet printing with IPP

I am trying to activate internet printing with IPP between two sites. I have

read the microsoft white paper on the subject and I have activated internet

printing using IIS on the print server. But I am unable to connect to that

print server via the internet from an outside computer. Does the print

server or the domain need a FQDN. Via the internet how can I connect to the

print server?
