IMAP Start Failure

Hello all,

I am trying to start IMAP on our Windows 2003 exchange server. I click on

"Exchange.msc" and then follow the path: (Domain)>Servers>Protocols>IMAP4 and

then right click on "Default IMAP4 Virtual Server". After about 30 seconds of

showing no sign a warning comes up saying: "The service did not respond to

the start or control request in a timely fashion" I am trying to activate

this for all our non-blackberry users. Thanks for taking the time to read

this and hope you can help us out. John.

Hi - this is a Terminal Services group - not Exchange & not regular Windows.

Please try posting in microsoft.public.exchange.admin, and check out your

event logs.

 

Also, I would recommend that your non-Blackberry users be configured to use

Exchange ActiveSync - (Roadsync from http://www.dataviz.com will help you with

non-Windows Mobile devices). Much better than IMAP. My $.02.
