This happened to our two DCs after I reconfigured DHCP drastically to assign reserved IP addresses to 50% of our workstations (to split gateway usage). Nothing wrong with my work, but MS Update and reboot fixed problem. In blind panic I did not think of trying to restart the service, but that should free up memory. -- Regards, Newell White

Before rebooting. Strange thing was that after reboot DHCP had reverted to the original (default?) DNS settings. -- Regards, Newell White
Guest Tomppa Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Re: tcpsvcs.exe leaks memory Hi Have restarted the service, and even booted the server but in a weeks its the same The server is fully patched No errors in event logs But today I stopped DHCP doing dynamic updates of DNS as per the KB article, and then restarted DHCP service. Now I just have to wait a few days and see if it helped.
