Why do you have a guest user enabled anyway?

There are 3 ways of doing it:

1) DisallowRun (registry key) - shutdown.exe

2) If in XP Pro you can set in local policies

3) Disable the registry editing tool (regedit) & add the registry key to disable it that

way too

Do registry tweaks for CURRENT USER not LOCAL MACHINE though or you'll disable it for

everyone

A simple Google search will show you how

thank u Newbie Coder

I have googled that topic, but it's a strange thing:

I login as adminstrator, modify the registry, then restart the

computer. The admin's start menu's shutdow is disabled, but when I

login as a Guest, the shutdown button is there, nothing has been

changed.

If you do as current user then it will be for the user you've logged in as.

Go in as administrator, create the registry entries then use the Registry menu | Export

Registry Key...

Delete those entries in administrator, copy to guest desktop (C:\Documents and

Settings\Guest\Desktop) & double-click them to enter them in the registry.

Job done
