Is my motherboard pooped???

I have a medion 489G and it froze on me. I could not get it to respond so I had to "BIG BUTTON" it. When I tried to resart the power LED at the front did not work but it did sound like it was booting up. It puts power to the fans and HDD but not to the USB. It willl not even load up the BIOS screen there is no picture in the moniter. Is the mother board broken?

Sorry I could not be more specific about my problems last night. I was having to access the internet on my PS3. The power is getting to everything apart from the moniter and the USB ports. When I turn it on the keyboard and mouse don't power up. I have taken the side off and disconnected the HDD thinging that was the problem. I have booted without it connected and I am getting nothing. I am going to remove everything apart from the MB and try a start up then. Is that the correct thing to do? Anything I need to know? I have some computer experience but not a technical wizz.

Are you using onboard graphics or an add in card? if you are using an add in card try the onboard.

As you cannot see if the BIOS is posting (which would indicate life in the MOBO) you would need to eliminate the GPU as a faulty part

It is a add on graphic card. I think it has one built into MB

Hi, as Dalo said, try removing the card and plug the monitor into the on board monitor output socket and try again. If still nothing, I suspect a power supply fault rather than the mother board, although if I am right sometimes a power supply failure can damage the mother board as well.

However, if it is possible to borrow a power supply from another machine, that will at least tell us something.
