Guest Flick Olmsford Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 We have users who, though group policy, have their login restricted from Internet Access using a bogus proxy server IP address. The users though know of another login they can use that requires access to the internet. The users are logging in, doing a minimal part their assignments, and then logging out and back in with the Internet required login, the username and pwd of which is required to be publically available. Can I stop these users from logging out once they login using their internet restricted logins and if so, how. Even stopping them from logging out during the next couple hours will do. The users can lock their screens when they need to leave temporarily. Thank you.
Guest Flick Olmsford Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 RE: Stop user logout I realize of course that they will need to logout sometimes for another to log in. I am just talking of not being able to logout for the next 1-2 hours or before 3:30 e.g. "Flick Olmsford" wrote: > We have users who, though group policy, have their login restricted from > Internet Access using a bogus proxy server IP address. No, I can't think it's possible at all. Maybe this is a dumb question, but why aren't you simply changing the password on the "other login" to something they can't possibly know or guess? Perhaps your organization needs ISA or another proxy server solution to block their Internet access anyway....bogus proxy servers are not really very efficient ways to handle this.
