GPO Problems

I am having problems with GPO's in general.

Firstly i am having issues with gpupdate taking an age to fail - I

have found fixes for this, i am waiting no microsoft sending me a

hotfix

but another problem i have found is:

I have some GPo's which can only be applied for a group of either

computer or uses.

In the AD for Computer Users i can add to this group - no problems

I then added this group as the only group that can access it in the

GPO scope in the security filtering. once confirmed, i double click

the group and i get

'the requested lookup key was not found in any active activation

context'

I know this is a IE7 issue, i have/had IE7 on my PC. I have

uninstalled IE7 and still get the same message.

then re-installed it as suggested.

Anyone have any thoughts

Re: GPO Problems

Hello Barkingmadscot,

If policies are not applied correctly, it can be a DNS problem. Also the

computers/users must be added to the OU where the policy is linked to. Can

you post an ipconfig /all from the DC and one client where the problem occurs.

Also post the policy you are trying to use.

Best regards
