Guest truszcz@go2.pl Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Re: Roaming profiles... Hi, It's mixed 2000/2003 AD domain , I'm trying to create roaming profiles for users through AD user Profile path property. File server hosting profiles is in another site then domain controller which users authenticate to. Guest Meinolf Weber Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Re: Roaming profiles... Hello truszcz@go2.pl, If the profile doesn't be created, can be that the security settings on the profiles share not sufficient for the user or maybe the way to the server is not found. you stated it is in a different subnet. So how is DNS setup, please post an ipconfig /all from the DNS server in your site and also from the DNS server in the site where the file server is and the file server itself. Guest truszcz@go2.pl Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Re: Roaming profiles... Hi, Looks like it's a slow-link detection mechanism problem, since everything works fine when users authenticates to "the nearest" controller. Is there any DNS round robin to set answer for a client DNS request for DC, to nearest (to the client subnet) DC ?? greetings Piotrek Truszczynski On 3 Lut, 20:15, Meinolf Weber <meiweb(nospam)@gmx.de> wrote: > Hello trus...@go2.pl, > > If the profile doesn't be created, can be that the security settings on the > profiles share not sufficient for the user or maybe the way to the server > is not found. you stated it is in a different subnet.
