Guest Bromc Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Why is it that some of my domain servers (not DC's) only give you the option to login locally and not to the domain (it's greyed out). You can still login to the domain by putting your domain in front of your network id, but still, why does it do this (and how do you fix it)?
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Re: Server on domain has greyed out domain login. Hello Bromc, Check if this key is set in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon registry subkey and check if NoDomainUI entry exist. If yes, delete it or set it to 0 Then reboot and try again. Guest Robert L. \(MS-MVP\) Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Re: Server on domain has greyed out domain login. We had post similar this one. The username and password of the logon screen are grayed out. It may be a 3rd party software. For troubleshooting, start the computer with clean boot. Or these links may help.
