suggeston on how to make migrations easier

Hello all

Well I am working with a client that I am converting from server 2003 to sbs

2003 r2 because of some of the features which are in SBS and not in server

2003.

This got me thinking.. why does Microsoft have this multi version of the

same OS and wouldn’t it be easier on everyone if they sold a product which:

1. Came with all the features (Exchange, Sharepoint, SQL Server) which could

be installed with 1 user so that a person could learn the products.

2. Allowed for additional users based up the the licenses purchased (1-50

Small biz), (51-x medium), (x-y large). This would allow an organization to

grow without having to go thru the issues that we all deal with going from

SBS to server.

3. Let the licensing function control how many user can use each feature

(etc 10 user, 4 sharepoint and 2 sql server for example)

4 Allows for multiple DC no matter what size organization... What a small

business doesnt need redundancy in its Active directory too ?
