snow Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Hi Missy, welcome to FPCH This sounds like it could be a rogue toolbar or extension playing up. Jelly Bean Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Try to reset the preferences to the defaults in the Safe mode See also Preferences not saved (MozillaZine KB) You can try to create a new (test) profile to check if it is caused by your current profile. See Standard diagnostic: Profile issues First test the new profile without making changes and if that works then you can transfer some files to the new profile or you an try to fix the original profile. Be careful that you do not copy corrupted files. See Transferring data to a new profile - Firefox The jar: issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar or the ZoneAlarm Spy Blocker Tool Bar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions).
