Guest ayman_zekry@yahoo.com Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Hi I have a data folder on a network share. When some one opens that folder I need to redirect him into another folder on another server. Is there a way to do that. Thanks
Guest Ryan Hanisco Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 RE: Redirect data folders Hi Ayman, There really isn't a way to redirect a subfolder in a share to another UNC path. What is the business issue that you are trying to overcome by doing this? Perhaps there is a better way to handle the need? The only option that comes close would be mapping a subfolder to another disk volume using a mount point. This would allow you to house a "subfolder" on a different physical disk. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307889 -- Ryan Hanisco MCSE, MCTS: SQL 2005, Project+ http://www.techsterity.com Chicago, IL Remember: Marking helpful answers helps everyone find the info they need quickly.
