Plastic Nev Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hi Burnzy, from what little I know, I think what you have there should run that game as sweet as a nut. The only explanation I have, is there some process running in the background that is hogging processor time? Have a look in task manager and see what shows up as heavy CPU use, and also if something shows high figures for memory use as well. If there is, let us know what you find. Nev. maynardvdm Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hi The processor is fine, you need to look at the graphics card. Your graphics card, the Gefore 8400, only has 256 memory and i think that should be the next thing to upgrade. Here are the requirements for COD:WAW: Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows XP/Vista Processor: Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz/AMD 64 3200+ Memory: 512 MB (1 GB for Vista) Hard Drive: 8 GB Free Video Memory: 256 MB (nVidia GeForce 6600/ATI Radeon X1600) Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 9.0c Keyboard & Mouse DVD Rom Drive Quote We are all members helping other members. maynardvdm Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 The graphics cards is just about minimum requirement, so i doubt it you would be able to play it at high settings. At what setting level are you trying to play the game? Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. Dalo Harkin Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 As Maynard has said the GPU is underpowered for that game. It also depends on what size resolution you are trying to play and the settings set on the game. If you are trying to play at around the 20-22'' mark then set the settings for the game to low and turn off all the AA and AF you really need something along the lines of the 260GTX or 4850 to play that game on a 20-22'' screen Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
