Hi everyone, I have just installed WSUS 3.0 in an stand alone server.

I configured the group policy for WSUS pointing to http://servername.

The GPO is linked to two different OUs. One of them only have a

Windows XP computer. The other has a Windows Server 2003.

The Windows XP is not able to see the WSUS's policy. When I run a

gpresult, the report only shows the Default Group Policy, not the WSUS

policy like the Windows Server 2003 computer shows. So the policy is

working, but not for XP client.

What should I check?

Thank in advanced

Best regards

Re: WSUS 3.0

Hello lir,

Did you run gpupdate /force on the XP or reboot the machine before? Also

what often happens, when DNS is not configured correctly, GPO's will not

apply. So how is your DNS setup? The XP has to point only to your internal

DNS server.

Best regards
