Hi everyone, im looking for some advise re a Pink/Red screen. Ive just purchased a new wide screen monitor which is going back as i mistakenly purchased a VGA and not DVI screen. In the change over i messed around with both sets of cables but didnt damage the connections but on connecting up the old screen and rebooting ive now got a lovely pink screen. ive tried altering the screen settings but no luck so im hoping someone out there can give me abit of advice.

Kind regards

Hi

Check the cable too see if there are not any bent pins on the connection.

Are you using onboard video or an add in card?

If it's an add in card you can try the other port on the back if there is more than 1, some ports are known to just fail.

If you are using an add in card but also have onboard - try the onboard.

When you have an add in card as well as on board you should always disable the onboard in the BIOS when using the add in card
